Insurance

Apart from the obvious safety benefits of receiving training, riders are also becoming aware that some insurance companies offer significant financial incentives to motorcyclists who achieve certain motorcycle skills levels. These incentives are offered by Aon/AXA and Quinn Direct. Discounts upwards of 20% off the annual insurance premium are achievable. This can amount to hundreds of euro reduction on some premiums. In some cases, a person can recover the cost of the training in one yearly premium, and continue to benefit from the discount every year thereafter.

This initiative creates a win-win situation. The rider benefits from being a safer and more highly skilled motorcyclist. The insurance company benefits from providing cover to a well trained rider.
